In the middle of March, 2004, I was entered along with five other people from our school to participate in the regional Skills Canada Competition, in the Desktop Publishing category.

Our assignment was to take a printed document (a menu) and recreate it on the computer. It had to be precise and pixel for pixel. We had specs that we had to follow (font sizes, leading, colours).

In the end, I managed to get a bronze medal. The top two advanced onto the Provincials held at a later date. Below is a picture of the souvenir t-shirt we received, and also the bronze medal I received.
