Alex: Then again, 135mm is only fixed focal! I just need to find a better subject :-P

Cherry: I could give you some suggestions, although they might not be worth much, since I only own one lens myself! :-D

Anyways, wouldn't we all hope for unlimited cash to spend! Haha, but if there are no budget constraints, I'd say most people would get the fastest biggest aperture lens they can get (most likely f/2.8). The "L" Luxury series would be considered top-of-the-line.

These would probably be my choices:

EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM (for everyday-use)
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM (for your telephoto end)
EF 50mm f/1.4 USM (for those crystal clear portrait and night shots)
(EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM - for the wide-angle if prime is not needed)

Then again, for us folks who don't have much money lying around, Sigmas do quite well too ;-)

Photography books? I'd say just borrow a few from the library... and going from real shooting experience would probably be what's worth the most!

Hi Sam,
I would like to know if money is no object, what lens will you buy? Say, you can only bring 3 lens with you when you go travelling and money is not an issue, which 3 lens will you take with you?

I'm saving money for Canon EOS 5D, I don't know what lens to buy, there are too many choices. Here is the link to Canon lens. http://www.canon.ca/digitalphotography/english/product_category.asp?id=12

Give me the specifics!!! Which lens would you pick?

By the way, are there photography books you can recommend? I want to learn more about finding the perfect exposures.

Thanks a lot.

First shot is nice... except.. f/2.8 isn't big enough to leave just ONE in focus.. go get 135/f2L !!
