New Speakers! Creative T20

I guess these are considered my present to myself this Christmas, haha.
I’ve been looking for speakers to replace my original ones that were just generic ones and sounds pretty muffled, and one that fits the bill since I use it mainly for music and movies. Originally I was looking at a 5.1 setup in my room, but after finding out that in order to use them with my laptop I would need to buy an extra PCI Express card, I quickly gave up on that. Then I looked at some 2.1 speakers, but some reviews weren’t as good for them.
Last week Futureshop had a sale on the Creative GigaWorks T20 for $64.99 with an original price of $129.99. Many reviews online spoke highly of these speakers even though they were only 2.0 with no subwoofer. I found that Best Buy had these selling at $127.99, and that they were sold out in all of the Vancouver or Richmond locations, the only one that carried it was in Burnaby (Price Match!). The next day I headed over to the Best Buy in Burnaby and successfully bought these for $65 including tax with price matching!
I have to say these are pretty good with good bass and low distortion at when turned up high :-)

nicky: Haha, it’s actually a Christmasy desktop (it’s red not pink!), thought it looked pretty good!
Selena: I did! I did a price beat! I meant $65 after after taxes! It was under $58 or so!
Good deal too! Boxing day they weren’t on sale at all and most speakers were selling above $100!
