through the eyes of the a70

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary and Alan last month. They were my latest clients and wanted me to help them document their cute 4 month old son, Carter. He’s the first baby that I’ve documented!

He likes to sleep a lot (as all babies do?) so his mom put him to sleep before our photo session, or else he gets cranky easily if he’s up for too long :-P Carter’s a chubby, but very cute baby, and was actually holding poses for much longer than I anticipated. The weather held up that day and lots of natural sun lighting was used (but surprisingly when I left… it was snowing very hard!).

I worked to try and capture his smiles, his interaction with Mary and Alan, as well as his curiosity of the world around him. I was told that a baby’s appearance and the way they perceive things around them change rapidly within the first year or two, so I can see why so many parents would like to document it for the future. I can definitely say I enjoyed the experience a lot and look forward to seeing him again in a few months :-)

I haven’t had time to photograph much things recently… I think I’m going through one of those phases when I’ve temporarily lost an eye for photography. Took a few shots while waiting for a class today, it’s starting to come back bit by bit… :-)
