Apparently when the Taipei Zoo first received Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, there was a lot of commotion and fuss around them, and you would need to line up for a long time in order to see them.

A year later, I went to see them myself – there wasn’t much of a line. They were bigger than I had imagined! Good thing Tuan Tuan walked out when we were in there, or else we wouldn’t have seen much! (and you were only allowed 5 minutes to view them..)

They were cute – but did they need to dedicate an entire building for two animals, and two full gift shops full of panda souvenirs?!
