Olympic Line Streetcar

Sunday, January 31st, 2010 :: 11:38 pm

The Vancouver Olympic Line runs from the Canada Line Olympic Village station directly to Granville Island, which will be a easy way for anyone who can catch a skytrain to easily access Granville Island without taking their car, especially given that during the Olympics it will be quite congested. It’s not the fastest mode of transportation but it certainly is one of the more interesting ways in the city.

The two streetcars are currently on loan from Brussels, and runs from January 21st to March 21st, mornings to evenings, all for free. There hasn’t been any solid plans as to what they will do with the line afterwards, continuing it, or even expanding it. Why not take advantage of this while you can?
