Apparently when the Taipei Zoo first received Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, there was a lot of commotion and fuss around them, and you would need to line up for a long time in order to see them.
A year later, I went to see them myself – there wasn’t much of a line. They were bigger than I had imagined! Good thing Tuan Tuan walked out when we were in there, or else we wouldn’t have seen much! (and you were only allowed 5 minutes to view them..)
They were cute – but did they need to dedicate an entire building for two animals, and two full gift shops full of panda souvenirs?!

I remember when I was young loved to chase the pigeons too. It was fascinating how they have this love/hate relationship with you. They would fly to just a few feet away – just enough so you can’t catch them, then when you stop chasing them, they come towards you, looking for any signs of food. I was amused by these flying species. Then the cycle starts over again.
Ah, that puts a smile on my face.
